At the end of October, we brought you a first look at a finely-crafted Air Jordan 13 Low done in collaboration with Edison Chen’s esteemed CLOT label. Done up in a traditional earthy color scheme meant to resemble the Terracotta Army – China’s first military with records dating back to nearly twenty centuries ago – it equips metallic gold embellishments, and chest armor-style panelling. With its clay-colored midfoot coming connected by thin pieces of rope meant to further mimic more of the iconic warrior’s armor, CLOT and the Jordan Brand split branding responsibility on the tongues, and lateral heel stamps. Official images have surfaced, and a release is expected to go down sometime in January, delighting fans of this noteworthy collab done by the longtime Nike co-creators. Grab a detailed look below and tell us what you think of this honorary design created by Chen’s illustrious label.
Jordan Brand cleats are nothing new to the gridiron. For years, we have seen the likes of Thomas Davis, Dez Bryant, and Joe Haden wear familiar looking cleats on Sunday afternoons, but for the first time ever, we have seen them with Jumpman logos this year. Unsurprisingly leading to an uptick in Jordan football cleats, the Nike sister brand has now added a “Grey Toe” colorway of the Air Jordan 13 Retro MCS to its football lineup. Sporting an identical color scheme to 2014’s basketball sneaker release, this new field-ready iteration with a molded outsole and cleated TPU ushers in a primarily Gym Red and White color scheme with light grey adorning its throat, toe, and lateral mudguard.
Set to join an already impressive slew of 2019 Jordan brand releases next is this cleanly-colored Air Jordan 13 you see here. Equipped in a color scheme familiar to the Jumpman, this new take on His Airness’ 13th signature model comes dressed almost entirely in grey and white with hits of black for contrast on its tongue Jumpman branding and throat, while it’s signature 23-bearing eye sports it’s usual reflective look. Releasing in sizes for both adults and kids, this offering joins a recent trend with the Jordan Brand that has seen the majority of its recent releases appease to the pint-sized crowd as well. With pairs expected to touch down on March 23rd, enjoy a detailed look below and tell us if you’ll be adding the “Atmosphere Grey” 13s to your rotation this Spring.
